i take it many people in this thread has never volunteered in a homeless shelter and seen first hand . a large amount of homeless have severe mental issues and leave housing even if given it. then there's the drug addicts that intersect with that. then there are people who genuinely are without homes. this is too simplistic of a view on homelessness. the people who are going to live in the apartment building would also be homeless without them.
