image for Trump Seems To Declare ‘We Have To Keep Our Country Gay’ In Speech Flub

It seems as though Trump was attempting to invoke the variant to his classic slogan “Make America Great Again,” which change to “Keep America Great” after he was elected president.

And therefore he invented one of the best political slogans ever uttered by any politician who ever existed.

A better politician would have run with it and proudly declared that we must keep America gay, nay perhaps even make it gayer.

However, in spite of a couple empty statements claiming to support LGBTQ+ folks, his actions speak much louder than his constant barrage of words.

The rest of Trump’s speech was pretty standard fare, including the usual falsehoods about the 2020 election and complaining about being the most persecuted president ever.

Meanwhile, this is a rare moment of people on the political left agreeing with Trump, and the jokes are pretty much mandatory.

🤣🤣🤣"To use an expression: we have to keep our country gay puh puh." »
