Governor John Fetterman enjoys a substantial 10-point lead over his Republican opponent Dr. Mehmet Oz in the state's U.S. Senate, according to a new poll.
The Marist Poll published on Monday shows 51 percent of registered voters in Pennsylvania support Fetterman, compared to 41 percent who back Oz, with seven percent undecided.
The Pennsylvania race is one of the most closely watched in the country and could be crucial in deciding control of the Senate where Democrats appear on course to keep control of the chamber.
The most recent figures from Marist are consistent with a slew of recent polls that show Fetterman leading Oz.
Poll tracker FiveThirtyEight's analysis also rates the Democrat as favored to win and gives him a 79 percent chance of being elected.
Fetterman and Oz will debate on October 25 in the only scheduled debate ahead of the November election.
