Can you imagine being somewhere in the 7th to 8th km and thinking “man this feels long.”

A race volunteer missed telling him about the turn, and he kept on running, eventually he realized his mistake and wanted to make it back as soon as he could because “his mom was going to yell at him.”

He beat a 40 year old by over a minute to win the race. He did the 6.2 mile (10km) race in 48 minutes or about 7:45 per mile.

I heard about this kid on NPR this morning. Apparently his mom was freaking out, and it turns out he was given the wrong route. Badass little dude.
