One of my favorite parts of the book. I think it conveyed a lot of Harry's character. I wonder what he would have seen if he looked into the mirror at the end of the seventh book...
Honestly, one of the saddest moments in the entire series for me. An 11-year-old child whose greatest desire in the world is a family that loves him, but he only gets quick glimpses of their images before it's all taken away forever.
People say the early books are very light-hearted for the sake of children, but there is seriously heavy stuff even in those too.

And god, Grandpre's art is so good.

For those who, like me, were hoping to find a link in the comments to some of her other HP themed work.
