HBO has renewed comedy series “Veep” and “Silicon Valley.”

Currently in its fourth season, “Silicon Valley” has been nominated for 21 Primetime Emmy Awards and won two.

Created by Mike Judge, John Altschuler, and Dave Krinsky, the series is executive produced by Judge, Alec Berg, Michael Rotenberg, and Tom Lassally.

In its sixth season, “Veep” is the winner of 12 Primetime Emmy Awards.

Tony Hale, Anna Chlumsky, Matt Walsh, Reid Scott, Timothy Simons, Kevin Dunn, Gary Cole, and Sam Richardson also star.

Created by Armando Iannucci, the series is executive produced by David Mandel, Frank Rich, Louis-Dreyfus, Lew Morton, and Morgan Sackett.

Both “Veep” and “Silicon Valley” are scheduled to end their current seasons June 25. »

A Chinese company is offering free training for US coal miners to become wind farmers

The state produces most coal in the US, and Carbon County has long been known (and was named) for its extensive coal deposits.

Now, these coal miners are finding hope, offered from an unlikely place: a Chinese wind-turbine maker wants to retrain these American workers to become wind-farm technicians.

The news comes from an energy conference in Wyoming, where the American arm of Goldwind, a Chinese wind-turbine manufacturer, announced the free training program. »
