The company's all flagship smartphones launched so far, including OnePlus One, sport full-HD display. However, the screen type has changed from IPS to Optic Amoled. QHD resolution will bring more crisp content on the screen with better clarity and larger pixel density. An 8GB RAM varaint Most flagships launched this year so far sport 4GB RAM, however, OnePlus's OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T already have 6GB RAM variant. So, it is likely that OnePlus 5 may come with an 8GB RAM variant Presently, Asus has an 8GB RAM smartphone, the Zenfone AR. Dual-camera setup in tow for better photography OnePlus 5 could also mark the debut of a dual-rear camera setup in OnePlus smartphones. One of them could feature a 23MP sensor. Recently, some images were leaked online that are claimed to have been shot with the handset’s dual-rear camera. In addition, a recent listing on Oppo Mart website too showed the smartphone with vertical dual-camera setup. New Qualcomm processor Last year the company launched its OnePlus 3 with Qualcomm's then flagship processor Snapdragon 820, OnePlus 3T sports the slighly higher variant Snapdragon 821. So in all probability, the OnePlus 5 may come with Snapdragon 835. The smartphone, along with 6/8GB RAM combination, is claimed to offer users better multi-tasking abilities and more efficiency in overall performance. Higher battery capacity with improved fast-charging OnePlus 5 is rumoured to sport a higher 3500mAh battery capacity, if not more. The company’s OnePlus 3T already comes with 3400mAh battery. Besides more battery, the handset may also include an improved Dash Charging technology, which could further improve the handset's charging time. Android 7.1.2 Nougat-based Oxygen OS OnePlus last month rolled out OxygenOS 4.1.3 based on Android 7.1.1 Nougat, this year it is quite likely that the company may debut its OxygenOS based on Android 7.1.2 Nougat with the upcoming OnePlus 5. There may even be Android O beta announcement as well.

It's official, OnePlus 5 will run on Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor Although the company is claiming the handset to be first in India with Qualcomm Snapdragon 835, it might not be the case as Sony too is said to launch its Snapdragon 835-powered Xperia XZ Premium in first week of next month in India.

OnePlus has told Gadgets Now that the OnePlus 3T 64GB and 128GB will be available until later this year in India from oneplusstore.in, Amazon.in and the OnePlus Experience Store in Bangalore. The smartphone, as confirmed by one of the company employees on the OnePlus forum posts, has reached its end of production line."This is the last call to buy the OnePlus 3T before stock runs out. Only a few devices are left in our warehouse, so purchase yours before time runs out at onepl.us/3T," said Steven G, a OnePlus forum staff member. The news is likely to disappoint several customers who purchased the OnePlus 3T smartphone that was launched roughly five months ago in December 2016.Incidentally, the company also discontinued its almost six-month-old flagship OnePlus 3 when it launched OnePlus 3T. The company launched OnePlus 3 in June 2016.The announcement appears to be aimed at making way for its upcoming flagship OnePlus 5 . The smartphone is rumoured to launch next month. The company has on its part not revealed anything about the smartphone's launch date yet. However, earlier this week, both Qualcomm and OnePlus confirmed that the upcoming OnePlus 5 will run on Snapdragon 835, claimed to be the most 'powerful' mobile processor available right now."With the OnePlus 5, our commitment to this philosophy continues. We're proud to announce the OnePlus 5 will feature the Snapdragon 835 processor, which sets the foundation for smooth, powerful, and efficient performance. With graphically-demanding apps, for example, you'll notice how fast they load and how well they run," said Pete Lau, CEO, OnePlus, in a post on the company's forum.

They're not very transparent about all of this and I'm rather worried. I have a OP3 and I love it. The 3T came out and it's a tiny tiny improvement over the 3 but it was marked up by £100 and they pulled the 3 from sale. Now the 3t is being pulled as well. There is a big demand for these cheaper android flagships but they're getting much more expensive with every subsequent model and I'm worried that the op5 will be so expensive that it's basically just another galaxy.
