More context:

Argentinosaurus lived on the then-island continent of South America somewhere between 97 and 93.5 million years ago, during the Late Cretaceous Period.

Size Argentinosaurus was one of the largest land animals ever, measuring 30–35 meters (98–115 ft) long and weighing 65–80 tonnes (72–88 short tons). However, scientists can only estimate its size because only parts of its skeleton have survived as fossils.

Diet Argentinosaurus ate tough plant material, stripping vegetation from branches with its teeth.

Movement Argentinosaurus moved on four legs. However, it had very slow movement speed and poor agility.

Extinction Argentinosaurus went extinct in the Cretaceous–Paleogene extinction event.

-- The Cretaceous–Paleogene (K–Pg) extinction event, also known as the Cretaceous–Tertiary (K–T) extinction, occurred approximately 66 million years ago. This mass extinction event killed 76–78% of all species on Earth, including all non-avian dinosaurs.
