One of Baldur's Gate 3 producers joined Playground Games, the British development studio known for the Forza Horizon series, which is also working on the next entry in the Fable series.

As announced on LinkedIn, Ryan Clark, who worked at Larian Studios as a producer for four years, joined Playground Games this month as a Senior Producer. Given how good Baldur's Gate 3 turned out, this is definitely good news for the next entry in the Fable series, of which we managed to see more only a few months back

While Baldur's Gate 3 may have lost one of its producers, work is continuing on the game to fix the issues that still plague it and to add new content. The latest hotfix, hotfix #7, went live yesterday to address some crashing and savegame issues, while the bigger patch 3 went live last week to improve performance and add official Mac support, among other things.

Baldur's Gate 3 is now available on PC and PlayStation 5 worldwide. The game will launch on Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S before the end of the year. Learn more about one of the best RPGs released in the past few years by checking out my review.

With its engaging story, charming characters, extremely dynamic world that constantly reacts and adapts to the player's actions and choice and a solid tactical combat system, Baldur's Gate 3 is among the best cRPGs ever released. A wonky interface, the lack of some quality-of-life features and Larian Studios' trademark save scumming design impact the experience, but they're only minor issues that don't take away too much from the whole experience.

Cool. Producers typically don't actually work on the game but they're very important for making sure things are completed, within budget and on time.

That said, "Producer" is such a generic title that it can apply to pretty much anything that isn't directly making the game.

Edit to add specifics: He was an Animation Producer on BG3 and previously worked as a Character Artist on FIFA 14 to FIFA 17.
