Context: The Bud Dajo Massacre was a tragic event that occurred on March 7, 1906, in the Philippines. It involved American military forces and took place on the island of Jolo in the southern Philippines. During this incident, American troops, along with Philippine Scouts, attacked and killed hundreds of Moro villagers, including women and children, who had sought refuge on the volcanic crater of Bud Dajo during a conflict. It remains a controversial and somber episode in the history of American colonial rule in the Philippines.

How the hell do you stand around the bodies of a bunch of people you just murdered and then say "hey, let's all gather around this old ass, long exposure camera and try to look tough for this pic."

Humans are truly fucked.

Im from PH and only learned about this in college when I made a report about it for a class. It's so horrific knowing that they killed people mercilessly.

It is really sad that they didn't include this in the history books for awareness.
