Lowell, in the letter to the Office of Congressional Ethics, wrote that it previously contacted the office over Greene’s defamatory statements and “bizarre dissemination of conspiracy theories” toward Hunter Biden, adding that she “lowered herself and by extension the entire House ... to a new level of abhorrent behavior” with her actions at Wednesday’s hearing.

Greene displayed the sexually explicit images at a hearing where Internal Revenue Service whistleblowers made claims that the Justice Department interfered in an investigation into Hunter Biden’s taxes. Biden recently reached a deal to plead guilty to two misdemeanor tax charges.

Several Democrats have since taken aim at Greene for showing the series of nude photos, including Reps. Robert Garcia (D-Calif.) and Jamie Raskin (D-Md.), a ranking Democrat on the oversight committee who told The Washington Post that the display was “completely irrelevant” to the hearing.

The attorney claimed that Greene violated House ethics rules along with standards of official conduct at the hearing, calling for the office to “promptly and decisively condemn and discipline” Greene.

“While the faces of other individuals in the photographs were blocked with black boxes, Ms. Greene (or her staff) took great care to ensure Mr. Biden’s face was not blurred for the American public,” argued Lowell, who noted that Greene suggested without evidence that her posters showed Biden “making pornography.”

“None of her actions or statements could possibly be deemed to be part of any legitimate legislative activity, as is clear from both the content of her statements and her conduct and the forums she uses to spew her unhinged rhetoric.”

Lowell also slammed Greene’s posts on social media in the days since the hearing, noting that she’s shared clips of herself holding the naked pictures and distributed a link to a video with the images through her fundraising email.

The attorney also suggested that Greene’s actions may have violated federal, District of Columbia and Georgia laws, as well.

I’ve posted on this topic but I just can’t let it go. My thoughts keep evolving on it.

There was no legitimate need to show these in the halls of Congress. It was a politically minded move.

The target was not just “the opposition.” It’s the son of the country’s top diplomat. Our chief negotiator with other nations of different degrees of conservatism. MTG is not embarrassing Biden here. She’s embarrassing and weakening America.

If she is not censured or expelled over this, given that they censured Adam Schiff over Donald “we are pretty certain he’s losing at least 2 criminal trials in court” Trump (due to leading an impeachment of the guy over undeniable shit that is in the public record). Trump almost had congresspeople killed. They stand up for that.

The GOP of today won’t stand for America. And if they won’t stand for America it doesn’t matter how many flags they wave or how much they say “‘Murica!” the reality is they are not for Americans.

This was a vile and senseless act that weakens us. It’s also an unprecedented lack of decorum and shows incredible disrespect for the office of the president (you can disrespect Biden all you want. There are ways to call him an old fart that do not weaken the office or embarrass the office nor the country).

Breaking precedent in such a negative way also shows the kind of country they are building. We can’t even pretend at civility - hate your neighbor, hurt them. So “Christian” of them (Christian crusades and inquisition, definitely - Protestants blame that on Catholics, but they were one church when those happened. But I digress. The point is it’s not in line with the values conservatives espouse).

Decorum for me and not for thee has gone too far. Either the whole façade gets blown up and someone leaks Lindsay Graham sex tapes, Gym Jordan IQ test scores, and other embarrassing shit of theirs – surely that level of personal would force a “let’s play nice” agreement – or else MTG needs to be booted from the House.

It’s no mystery WHY she did this. She didn’t even do it to hurt Biden. She did it because she got booted from the Freedumb Caucus and wants to “earn” her way back in. She doesn’t give a fuck about the image of this country and seems to relish in destroying our image to ourselves and others.

MTG makes us weaker as a nation. She has shit for brains and her moral compass is nonexistent.

I think everyone should file an ethics complaint. Apparently we can do so online.

Hunter Biden’s attorney Abbe David Lowell filed an ethics complaint against Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) on Friday, just days after the right-wing congresswoman showed poster-sized nude images of the president’s son at a House Oversight and Accountability Committee hearing.

Good start. She was completely out of line in doing this, especially considering she then went on to send the pics out to her email list (which very well could've included minors).

The depths to which republicans will sink is unbelievable. And throwing this mountain of bullshit at a man with a history of struggling with addiction who is now just trying to lead a peaceful life out of the spotlight is particularly fucked up
