Ghostship, no flag on display

Storehouse at Lindenauer Hafen, abandoned after a grain explosion in 1964

Double Exposure taken with a Nikon Z6 II & Nikkor Z 24-70mm f4S

ISO 250 - f/13 - 1/250s

My experimental photography endeavor began in 2009 with Double Exposure Photography on film. In 2012, I continued to work on freestyle portraits consisting of multiple exposures with a DSLR camera. However, the increasing reliance on reproduced Photoshop blendings diminished my interest in that fascinating photography technique. It felt like the end of an artform. But in 2022, I returned to the topic with a different approach, reigniting my passion

Double Exposure Photo Series:

Visual crackle of urban subcultures and their spatial appropriation: Hip Hop, not necessarily in form, but in the methodology of recognizing and taking advantage of architecture and surfaces. The ambience of the hardcore continuum as exposed sight - Pirate Radio for your eyes, cutting a dubplate on your retina. Crunching bits of scenic cityscapes remain like ghosts. Decoding like a Wildstyle Graffiti Piece. Visual vandalism of a light-capturing writer. A rediscovery of flow.

Spectacular shot, but now I'm scared of grain explosions.
