Just to add what is above as I said he’s 16 and for yrs he loved coming to work on weekends and evenings and such and he absolutely loves demolition work ripping out kitchens and bathrooms his speciality. For the past few years he’s been learning carpentry skills,tiling,painting and decorating and plumbing. For the past 18mnths he’s been begging me to let him do some tiling including the setting out etc and so after weeks and weeks of nagging I finally let him loose. My only input was just the overseeing it was done correctly but he done everything. Next week he’s going to be helping by installing RSJ beam. My belief for him is to believe in who you are and not let autism define you.
