President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Western politicians and the media are beginning to push Ukraine to end the war with a result that is not beneficial for Ukraine, but Zelenskyy assured that he is not holding such talks with anyone.

Source: Zelenskyy at a meeting with journalists on 6 June

Quote: "I do not have any negotiations on any plans (on the peace plan, which is being discussed by the United States, the European Union and Britain - ed.); such negotiations are currently at zero.

Everyone really wants to push us little by little towards some result that is definitely undesirable for us, because we have not been asked yet, but beneficial for other parties that have their own interests. Again, different: both financial and political.

Fatigue is growing, people want some kind of result for themselves, and you and I need a result - for us.

Thus, I did not discuss with them the structures for resolving the issue of this war with a positive result for us."

Details: At the same time, Zelenskyy believes that Ukraine should work "with all European countries, world powers."

Which is stupid. That's basically what they did after Crimea and then built up the infrastructure in their newly taken territory to use as a better launching point for attacking the rest of the nation. Ceding more territory will just see them try again. The Russian government has made it explicitly clear they don't believe Ukraine is allowed independence outside Russian influence.

Remember the first "peace" deal Russia offered literally had a provision that gave Russian government unilateral control over Ukraine Foreign policy

Every sensible person realises the russia switched tactics from trying to take over all of Ukraine in a blitz to fighting an attrition war and taking Ukraine piece by piece.

If they give russia a cease fire now, and let them have Eastern Ukraine and they'll still be able to spin this as a victory they'll train troops and by equipment and come back in a few years, when the west find it not onlt hard to block russian imports but impossible and when the russian brass will draw conclusion from the current war leaving Ukraine at a disadvantage and the west unable to support them.

Seems to me that most politicians and media largely support his efforts, honestly.
