That is a town of 15,000 people (I grew up in a town of 12,000). I guarantee you that everyone in that town knows someone who was directly affected by this.

There is a fantastic article about this newspaper in the New Yorker. The folks who run the paper were terribly impacted by this, and still had to cover the story. So sad.
