My partner is a storm chaser, and I'm a photographer, so I had the opportunity to photograph this beast earlier this week. The aqua coming through towards the top is caused by light refracting off of tennis ball sized hail in the center of the storm. The storm created a weak landspout tornado shortly after this image was taken.
