Dragon Age series is one of the most iconic RPG games, set in a high fantasy world that is boiling in political and magical conflicts. Dragon Age Origins came out in 2009 and we fell in love with the classic rpg style gameplay, as well as strategic battles and a gripping story featuring the grey warden hero. Dragon Age 2 featured a completely different hero named Hawke, who rose from his refugee rank and became the champion of Kirkwall, the city around which the entire game was based upon. Its ending set the ground for the third in the series. Dragon Age Inquisition picked things up from where the previous games left off, and began a new story of an inquisitor. The game featured major plot twists. The chief among them was that Solas (our mysterious elf mage companion) was actually an elven god Dread Wolf who brought the demise of his people. The ground has now been set for the 4th Dragon Age. However, Electronic Arts is taking as much time as it needs in making the 4th game in the series. Though it’s been six years, fans are still waiting for concrete details regarding Dragon Age Inquisition, something other than the glimpses that we saw in the trailer. It is clear from the trailer that Solas, the mage companion will be the main villain and there will be massive conflicts between humans and elves. Quite possibly, the mage-templar conflict might end permanently, as now a greater threat has risen and threatens the world of Thedas.

Much to fans’ delight, EA has confirmed that 2022 will be the year in which we can expect some concrete details about the game. It has also been confirmed that the game will be a single player video game, unlike its predecessors.

A source with knowledge of EA's plans has said there's "no chance" that Dragon Age 4 will release in 2022. pic.twitter.com/gFgBYvBmET — Tom Henderson (@_Tom_Henderson_) January 20, 2022

Tom Henderson, the industry leader shared a tweet in which he clearly mentioned that there is no chance Dragon Age 4 is coming in 2022. He said that this news came from a source of EA’s knowledge, which makes it pretty legit. Further news followed that revealed that Dragon Age 4 might not even be released in early 2023.

At this point, we can only wish that EA releases some in-game footage of Dragon Age 4. Other than that, all we have is little to no information from EA.

I'd rather they stay radio silent, why build hype years and years out. No need to show or say anything until the game is solid and concrete in it's approach and style. All the games that waited until the last year, or 6 months before release had a far better release and met most expectations. We don't need anymore Cyberpunks!

This is exactly why i agreed with those who said that it was a mistake teasing both Dragon Age and Mass Effect this early.
