Doctor here. If you used alcohol and Xanax every day, quitting cold turkey can be dangerous. It can cause withdrawal, seizures, coma, and death. You really should only quit under the supervision of a physician in which you would be tapered off those drugs as well as receive any appropriate psychiatric treatment too. Please make an appointment with your PCP. And if you're starting to feel bad, get to an emergency room.
