Ubisoft has announced that its head of game production is leaving the company.
Virginie Haas, who has served as Ubisoftâs chief studios operating officer for 16 months following three years as an independent director on its board, is departing âto pursue other activitiesâ, the company said on Monday.
During her time at Ubisoft, Hass has been âin charge of gaming production globallyâ, according to her LinkedIn profile.

Ubisoft said: âThe company is well on its way to appointing her successor. In the interim, the senior team she was in charge of will ensure the continuity and seamless execution of the current projects.â
Haas is departing Ubisoft at a time when the company is attempting to rebuild its image following a wave of discrimination and sexual harassment allegations.
A Better Ubisoft, which represents a group of employees campaigning for improved working conditions at the company, recently turned to the public for support after becoming frustrated with what it views as inaction from the Assassinâs Creed publisher.
On Saturday it said 13,000 people had signed a public petition supporting its call for improved working conditions and cultural reforms at Ubisoft.
Ubisoft also revealed plans for Assassinâs Creed Valhallaâs second year of content on Monday.
Assassinâs Creed Valhalla and Assassinâs Creed Odyssey crossover story DLC will be released on Tuesday as part of the formerâs 1.4.1 title update.
And Assassinâs Creed Valhallaâs next expansion, Dawn of Ragnarök, was announced for release in March 2022.

I really hope this fixes every Ubisoft game being “generic open world” I liked FC6 but just cause the gameplay loop was okay

I'd like to think this will open the company into new IPs, differentiation from type, new innovative ideas but, I'm a pessimist at heart.
