Denmark is quite opposed to immigrants in general so this isn't surprising. I think there's a misconception that Europe in general is a friendly place for migrants/immigrants and its not really the case.

I don't think Americans realise how much Europe actually hates refugees, several countries are currently being torn apart by the subject politically, it's •the• subject people usually vote on. The rift is •not• because one side wants refugees and the other doesn't, very few people in Europe •wants• refugees, the rift is between people who feels the need to help those who doesn't have anything, and the others who are vehemently opposed towards multiculturalism.

Greece, Italy, Hungary, Denmark, England, Germany, Sweden have HUGE parties that are basically just a breath away from becoming neo nazis, and they're not small parties. The party in sweden (Sverige demokratene) has been the countries largest party in the polls at one point.

AfD in germany is the third largest party. Let's not talk about Hungary.

Norways "far right" party has the same refugee policy as denmarks labour party.

This subject scares the living shit out of me, because to me it looks like it's just a sarajevo incident waiting to happen.

And Russia/China would love nothing more.
