I tried that last year for my first year in our new house, turns out no one trick or treats on my street. Had around 3 costco bags of candy and 4 boxes of King size everything. Not one person rang the bell. Had they I was just gonna give them EVERYTHING!!!
One time we had a house handing out rolls of quarters. The next year they where handing out whole bags of candy to really good costumes. The year after everyone found out the couple who did that passed away in a car accident.

I have been that house for the last few years. We only get maybe a dozen trick or treaters so I just get a couple packs of full size bars.
