It baffles me sometimes how people behave in restaurants. Yes your paying for a meal and the service that goes with that but the people are still people and should be treated with courtesy and respect.
Had a guy scream at me because we didn’t put a knife on his plate. I was standing literally 2 feet from the knives, I grabbed one and gave it to him. Not good enough, he wanted to tell me that he was a chef. A REAL chef. Not like what I do. His father was a chef. If this happened in his restaurant I’d be fired. Over a knife. A fucking butter knife. Every time someone comes through and says ‘oh, short staffed again. It’s a shame no one wants to work’ I have to smile and say yes even though I want to violently murder them with my hands.
