image for Texas doctor who provided abortion in violation of new law: 'I had a duty of care'

A Texas doctor has revealed that he recently performed an abortion in violation of the state's new controversial law that prohibits nearly all abortions after roughly six weeks into a pregnancy, arguing that he “had a duty of care to this patient.”.

In the wake of the Supreme Court’s decision earlier this month not to block Texas’ new abortion law, Braid wrote, “For me, it is 1972 all over again.”.

He went on to say that the new Texas law, known as S.B. 8, “shut down about 80 percent of the abortion services we provide.”.

The so-called “fetal heartbeat” law in Texas bans all abortions after cardiac activity is detected, which can occur as early as six weeks into a pregnancy, before many people know they are pregnant.

Individuals who take legal action have the opportunity to win $10,000 for successful lawsuits.

The doctor, who noted that his clinics are among the plaintiffs represented by the Center for Reproductive Rights in the federal lawsuit aimed at stopping the Texas abortion ban, added that he believes “abortion is an essential part of health care.”.

“I have spent the past 50 years treating and helping patients,” he continued. »

EBT-101, an in vivo, CRISPR-based drug that targets HIV proviral DNA, is a unique gene therapy that leverages CRISPR's viral defense capability against bacteria.

It uses an adeno-associated virus (AAV) to deliver a one-time treatment to functionally cure HIV infections. »

A visibly angry Jean-Yves le Drian, the French foreign minister, accused the Americans and Australians of “lies and duplicity” over the Aukus deal.

“When we see the US president with the Australian prime minister announce a new agreement, with Boris Johnson, the breach of trust is profound.

Le Drian had already described the trilateral Aukus security pact – including the submarine deal – as a “stab in the back”. »

No, we haven't mistyped Deep Learning Super Sampling; NVIDIA DLAA is a brand new technology that will debut in Zenimax Online's MMORPG Elder Scrolls Online.

This is essentially DLSS minus the upscaling part, which means it'll be focused entirely on quality instead of performance.

We are adding a new option for NVIDIA DLAA (Deep Learning Anti-Aliasing), using their DL technology, but without the upscaling component, at full resolution for some fantastic AA quality. »
