That's great that it worked for you but it doesn't work for everybody.

I've done the same thing (contacted the manufacturer of the medications I needed when I could not afford them) only to be told there was nothing they could do for me.

Some manufacturers had programs that helped with costs for people who had insurance (for as little as free or five dollars a month), but for people who were completely uninsured (as I was)- nothing. No help at all.

I had to stop some medications or switch to others because of this at that point in my life. (I even had one doctor who, thankfully, gave me sample packs of medications from his office for nearly a year because otherwise I would have gone without.)

So I should fucking hope they let you have it a little cheaper than that stupid price which doesn't reflect reality whatsoever.

In my country, it's not only approved, it's free on prescription.

P.S. There are at least four generic versions of this, so why people would pay for the branded, I don't understand.
