Nintendo will always thrive unless they release a console that's just plain bad to use. They have their own little (big) market and frankly I don't think the steam deck will steal as much of their userbase as most people think.
Edit: while I don't believe Nintendo will lose sleep over this, the switch is basically dominating the portable console market and this steam deck is definitely something else Nintendo will have to contend with.
