I hear and read complaints about the local fast food joints being closed and or they only except orders by app.
The assumption is that the staff doesn't want to work, but the truth is they got themselves a better job elsewhere and the location isn't getting any applications.
Workers are told all the time “maybe you shouldn’t have a job if you’re not competitive enough for it.” Ok McCorporation, up your salary and give me them bennies cause I’ll go elsewhere
Actually, my favourite restaurant is doing fine, because my favourite restaurant is a little Mexican place owned by a family that lives in the townhouses nearby.
The McDonalds and the KFC both have help wanted signs though.
