Well, I do understand that this is really good act as a king. But in the long run, I think transparence, accountable and replaceable(every 4 years) government is more sustainable solution for country.
Why do I say this, as a Thai we used to have a really beloved Kxxg (for majority). He was worshipped like a god and literally untouchable. People in Thailand including me can be easily manipulated (by Greedy people who present themselves as royalist). The worst part is you have no way to tell that you are being manipulate because you are deluded by too much love.
A fun interesting fact is king of Bhutan have a very close relationship with *edit out to save my assformer Kxxg)and inherited a lot of strategies and traits from our former kxxg.
To add more, now that*edit out to save my asshas passed away and his son **edit out to save my ass*inherited the throne. Well, have you ever watched game of throne? Our current king will make Joffrey Baratheon look like a good person.
And by saying this I might have a cop at my door and put me into jail. So please if you saw that this situation is bad, please learn more about Thailand situation and raise some voice for us. We are literally dying.

I know almost nothing about the political & economic situation of Bhutan but if I was king of a country in the midst of a pandemic I'd probably go hiking and camping too lol

Edit: dang I never knew just how bad the Nepalese in Bhutan had it, I used to think they were just a minority :(
