The business my wife used to work for treated their employees so poorly that they gained a reputation and were having a hard time hiring, so the owner had his HR staff write a bunch of fake reviews on indeed
This actually happened to me seven years ago. One of my future coworkers sat down to talk to me along with another team member of the IT department I was interviewing for and told me the best thing I could do was get up and walk out the door and not look back. He was canned a few months later but he had basically checked out a while ago.
In hindsight after four years of working there, he was right.
I also had a customer tell me “You don’t know who you’re fucking with” when I asked him for his ID to pick up like a $2k MacBook that he shipped. It was my second to last day in my 2 weeks. My response: “You’re right, I’d know who I was fucking with if you had your ID. All I know right now is you’re a guy who’s not picking up a MacBook”.

That was me literally.
