This was on one of my mom pages, I couldn't believe it was local and that these kind of people actually exist, it makes me sick to think about

Something similar happened to my grandparents. They have a giant blueberry patch on their farm and told a few locals they could come pick what they’d like.

The next day a hoarde of Amish showed up, picked every single bush completely clean (legit didn’t leave a single beery and there were hundreds of thousands), and sold them for profit in the week following. Infuriating.

I used to go strawberry picking at a local farm. They charged £5 per punnet and once you filled the punnet you were done. Of course everyone ate a few strawberries while picking and the farm owners were cool with this. But you would get scummy families turning up with their own bowls and cream, find a quiet corner where they couldn't be seen and eat as much as they could. The farm had to start hiring security to patrol the fields and stop them doing this and the price went up to £7 per punnet to pay for it.
