I worked as a developer on a lesser known social networking platform. The client literally wanted me to disable part of the search bar functionality for members with a free account. I said to the client, "You know, it feels like you're punishing people for not paying for a premium account, rather than actually offering features that people would want to pay extra for." Their response: "Maybe, but we need to make money."

Are we gonna forget the fact that iOS made it default for videos to play in the background, but YouTube disabled it again.
It took them like 2 hours to roll out a new update to disable to the feature after it released.
