Man, when I started driving in 2005, my parents dropped $250 on a 1990 Toyota Camry with 150,000 miles on it just for me. That thing could go from 0 to 60 in about 2.5 minutes and I absolutely loved it. Drove it all 4 years of high school. By the end it was more duct tape than car, but I still loved that thing.
So I kind of feel like a POS, but when I was coming up on 16 my Dad tried to buy me a PT Cruiser and I did tell him politely no thank you. I just asked him to use same budget for a different kind of car. He was fine with it though.

Man I got a beat up 98 neon back in 2007 for my first car, no a/c no power anything and the radio barely worked, I was grateful as shit for my hoopty
