I just found out Southwest changed my 2-1/2 hour non-stop flight to a 5-1/2 hour one-stop flight. I'm not exactly pleased about that, and they're going to hear it.
I've never gotten a relevant deal from email alert. It's always fares for flights I don't wanna take or it's the flight I wanna take but the same price as it always is.
Best is to just constantly check kayak and Skyscanner for the time and destination, try to be as flexible as you can, and just keep an eye out. Check every 2 or 3 days for weeks until you find the flight you want. After you find the flight you want, go to the airline directly to book with them because if it's cheap on kayak, that specific flight is even cheaper on the airlines website.
