America actually tried it before when Boomers and older were in charge, I believe back in the 70s, but it never worked out because the average American didn't want to translate all their units and companies had their information written in imperial so it would've been a massive pain

As a Canadian we end up learning both. Metric is far superior in every sense, yet I can’t tell you my weight or height in metric; only Imperial.
Until the US changes to metric we can’t get away from it.
