Okay so totally get this, but also as a disabled person sometimes I just wanna see what i see myself in my head reflected in a picture. Not every picture, not all the time, but sometimes it would be lovely to not see my wheelchair in pictures
EDIT: i just want to add that I am aware that this is from an account that is mainly joke account but also it still feels really gross that having an able bodied person say that a disabled person is perfect and we need to learn to love ourselves. I know the intent was good but it really is intent vs impact here and disabled people are told this kinda stuff all the time. Its all about the micro-aggressions. I know this person didn’t do that on purpose and from his perspective it was a very sweet thing to say, and for some disabled people it is! But for others its not. I guess im just trying to say that this could be misleading to other able bodied people that all disabled people want to hear this kinda thing and I thought it was a good learning opportunity
