Seriously, the fact that they supposedly train and retrain each year in how to handle conflict situations, and then keep claiming that they can’t tell the difference between their guns and their tasers, is just fucking amazing.
American police have fuck all for training and continuing education / retraining on average.
Some jurisdictions have higher standards, but even the best of those are bare minimum.
Even "just" EMT/Firefighters go through more training and have more stringent recertification procedures, and that is ignoring the further jump for Paramedic level personnel.
