I always love how someone requests "just a tiny change" and is surprised how changing 2 lines of code takes 3 hours. Because you have to create a ticket in Jira for the change request, wait for approval, have to review the actual change, update the documentation, update every ticket, create a ticket for testing the change, wait for all tickets you created to be closed and only then you can officially mark your task as "complete".
You always swing between "we have too many open tickets" and "the audit revealed we have to follow our processes more closely"
