You never see a medium sized sunfish. They’re all either tiny or huge. 🤔

I saw one of these things sailing off the coast of Maine. It was just laying on its side on the surface, sunning itself. We thought it was dead at first, but no, the tiny fins were gently moving back and forth in a carefree manner, like it was just splashing about in a pool. I guess that's why they are called sunfish. A very cool and fascinating creature.
