LPT for anyone reading regarding the epidural: don't actually wait too long during delivery. I had epidurals for my 3 kids. My first kid, I waited and waited trying to tough it out. So got it when I stalled around 7 cm. But then I was super numb during pushing, felt absolutely nothing. It's hard to push when you can't feel pressure or anything. With the other 2, they were both induced and I got epidurals around the 4 cm mark. By the time pushing came around, I was still blissfully pain free but could actually feel some pressure. Feeling the pressure as you're pushing helps you push more effectively.
