Brooooooo, that looks like the Soul Stone from Diablo 3.

Edit: for clarification I know this was in Diablo 1 & 2, sadly I never played those and was introduced to the game at Diablo 3...one day I’ll play them!

On the other hand wow, I didn’t expect this to blow up like this. So glad to see so many Diablo fans out there!!

More precisely, these are from the Viburnum trend in Sweetwater Mine in Reynolds, Missouri. Not really from a swamp, but a working mine that extracts various minerals for their lead, zinc, nickle, and other metals. These calcites are filled with chalcopyrite which gives them their dark color and slight gold hue (only seen up close). The crystal formation itself is comprised of multigenerational calcite growth with each "scale" being one single calcite crystal that grew and overlapped the previous. I own one of these and, though I'm not a believer in the metaphysical aspects of minerals, these things just feel otherworldly to hold. They are heavy, large, and incredibly beautiful!

*edit- Thought I should include more info on the locality.

And a video of my specimen which shows the golden chalcopyrite up close.

*Second edit - I live streamed the moment I unboxed my dragon calcite, just in case you wanted even more views and info about it.
