I think the sign is absolutely disgusting. I think hitting him is wrong and especially with a bat. In this world there will be absolutely disgusting things that offend you. You can't just assault ppl because of that.
I'm black and I've had ppl say some insanely wild racist shit to me. If I hit the person every single time... I just ignore it or smile and move on. It's much more powerful to show the person you're unaffected by their bullshit. Also this is a great way to end up in jail.
But also I don't feel sorry for the guy either. If you go looking for trouble it will often find you. Both ppl are stupid to me.

This guy was at the UofA when I was a student there. He always did this kind of thing. A truly horrid person.
