I told my school counselor my relationship with my dad was declining and it made me feel really sad and she turned around and told my dad everything. Literally who hires these people?
My counselor told my mom I needed to go to a mental health institution because I was upset about being bullied
Edit: I didn't think this would "blow up," but I and my mom got out of that situation with a "go home" pass (didn't know they could do that, I stayed with my mom in the cafeteria for the rest of the 15 minutes of class) and never talked to her again about the situation. I did have to go again the next year because I was in a sticky situation with the same people and I made sure my friend went with me. She also had a bad time before with the same outcome. The counselor later helped me get ready for my school interview and was happy when I was accepted into a small and extremely nice high school.
Tried talking to my middle school counselor about stuff with my father and how I wasn't sure if he had been manipulating me all my childhood before I cut him out. Counselor's idea? Go behind my mom's back and contact my father and ask him about it.
