I don't understand why any of this is such a problem in America.
Policeman are people given fairly great power and authority in society (guns with actual bullets for example) and given the risk of that power being abused, that power needs to be kept in check.
If you're a policeman who isn't doing anything wrong, then you should have no problem having some measure of accountability held to you.
And God knows why the public recording your actions with a phone is any problem.
What's more dangerous, the gun or the phone and if you're a policeman threatened by the phone, ask yourself why
