It's a lack of empathy. They're unable to think "How does that person feel?" Or even the discount version of empathy "How would I feel in that situation?"
And then, when democrats push for better maternity care, republicans be like "I didn't have it when I was pregnant, neither should you." or "it would be unfair for all the women who didn't have it".

If she ever did - she would do it and NEVER TELL A SOUL. That way eventually it 'never happened' and abortion is still bad in their eyes.
