I remember watching Adam Curtis' "The Power of Nightmares" where a bunch of ex-GOP members admitted it was a political witch hunt and they had nothing.
But Clinton LIED about it. You can't let a president LIE and get away with it. That's crazy to have a president who would LIE.

Shielding a president from lying under oath about all the obvious treason he did is NOT BETTER than a president lying under oath about a blowjob. It's not and you're stupid for thinking that. They were investigating Whitewater and his conduct over a sexual harassment suit. The blowjob thing and his perjury were just the only things that really came of it in terms of the Clintons. Whitewater was a real estate and savings & loan scam and the investigation led to several convictions. But it was perusing the latter misconduct that led to the discovery of Monica Lewinsky and Bill's impeachment.
That said, Whitewater being enough to trigger such a huge investigation is a bar far lower than Trump's rampant, blatant, and open corruption.
