Its just a weird stance to take, not even the Founders would agree with her take. Thomas Jefferson thought the Constitution should be rewritten wholesale every 20 years or so so each generation could pick how to govern itself.
There is a good story about Marsha Blackburn in the book American Carnage. In 2012 or maybe 2014 cant remember. GOP Members of the republican controlled House tried to overthrow Speak John Boehner. Marsha Blackburn (in the house at that time) was very gung-ho for it. The vote to overthrow Boehner was looking a little shaky by the time it was Blackburn's vote. Rather than vote she said "omg I have a nosebleed!" and ran out of the Chamber. When the vote was all but over and it was clear Boehner was going to retain the Speakership, Blackburn came back into the chamber and said something like 'I proudly cast my vote for John Boehner"
