WiFi 6 running in full duplex with MU-MIMO might finally make wifi acceptable in gaming. As long as you're close enough to the router. And there's not metal or thick walls interfering with the signal. And there's not other devices using the WiFi to bog it down...

For the price of those premium router+adapter, it's better to pay someone to do a clean job of routing an ethernet cable through the house.
