I've used it when some co-workers were making racist comments. I stone faced turned around and went " I don't get it, please explain it to me". Works like a charm.
Have found it works when people make insane political claims too. "I genuinely have not heard about what you are talking about, can you give me 1 example please" and watch them panic as they realize they don't have one, they've just been echoing someone else's claim.
