Interestingly, one of the original DOOM’s designers, Sandy Petersen, is a practicing Mormon but said the games don’t promote satanism and he sees no conflict between his faith and his role in the game’s development because the demons are the bad guys and the ones getting killed.

My 5 yr old nephew was watching me play the other day. Went in for a glory kill and it did the one where it rips the jaw off(?)
He got closer (was playing handheld on switch) and he asks “ did you just rip his jaw?” “Yes I did, buddy” “Can you do it again?!”
now he loves jamming out to the soundtrack
