The crazy part about these LA visualizations, is that the density in LA County is actually SO MUCH SMALLER than what we usually think of as the LA Area.

About a third of LA County is a national forrest, and another third is Desert and Lancaster.

If the county borders were different, this graph would be even more stark. LA county is big geographically AND population wise.

It would be more beautiful if Alaska was actually shown to scale with the other states.
