I had a party that only one person showed up to once. It was my friend Kennedy. I had 8 friends say they were coming and then...nobody. it was really sad. We just watched movies and got drunk and ate all the snacks. I never tried to throw a party again.
Edit: I sent Kennedy screenshots of this thread, and she found it and commented below. I had no idea she even had a reddit! Everybody say hi!
One thing I learned long ago is that regardless if you RSVP but better plans come along, if you’re a decent person, you stick to your word and show up anyway. People in general are just shit.
